Mariners Club Key Largo
An Insider's Guide

The Mariners Club Key Largo, as it was formerly known, is a luxurious and upmarket gated community located at the northern end of the Florida Keys on the island of Key Largo at MM 97.5.

Now known as the Mariner's Resort Villas and Marina, the property is popular as a wedding spot and a place to set up your domicile during a diving trip or luxury holiday. This resort offers you the opportunity to take a break from a stressful and fast-paced lifestyle and relax in your own beachside villa.

Features

The Mariner’s Resort is manned by a 24-hour security service. Out of its two swimming pools, one is the largest of any resort or hotel in Key Largo. As the name suggests, the resort also owns a marina on the Atlantic side of the Keys island chain. Boat tours and dive trips launch from here every day.

The resort is known for its pristine gardens and creatively trimmed hedges. In terms of the accommodation itself, you will choose from a villa or townhouse sized to suit your needs. The units range from one bedroom up to four bedroom villas. Every unit two-bedrooms or more includes its own large Jacuzzi.

The house contains literally everything you could want to create a true home away from home, with a complete kitchen facilities containing all the necessities you’d expect including a dishwasher, toaster, refrigerator, blender and microwave. Each unit also has its own washing machine and clothes dryer. Beyond that, multiple bedroom units mean you and your family can maintain privacy that often isn’t available in a typical hotel room.

Dining and Nearby Attractions

The on-site operators at this resort offer a variety of things to do such as diving trips and eco-tours, and they are open to suggestions—you don't have to stick to a set game plan. You also have the option to see Key Largo your own way. Among the other possibilities around town are fishing charters, sea-kayak rentals, as well as jetskis or powerboat rental.

And, of course, beyond the experiences that can be had from your island resort, there is plenty to buy. Right across US1 sits one of the largest locally owned stores in the Upper Keys.

There are also a variety of restaurants within a few short miles of the Mariners Club Key Largo resort. For breakfast, you have the option taking a seat at Harriett’s Restaurant, which is known for home-style cooking, or heading a few miles north to Doc’s Diner and taking a booth or stool at the bar and enjoying on the everyday specials.

For dinner, heading north by car for a couple minutes will put you near Cafe Largo while going a little south will get you to Snapper's Waterfront Restaurant and Saloon. Cafe Largo is a spot for a fan of old-style Italian food, while Snapper's serves seafood with a Caribbean flavour in a shorefront setting. There are several other dining options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner all within a few minute drive by car.

Buying a Unit at Mariner’s Resort and Villas

For some, a week-long stay at the resort simply won’t be enough. In order to purchase property in this gated resort community, you must first become a Mariner's Club member, for a one-time fee of $45,000.
