The inn is a small bed and breakfast operating in a mansion originally built in 1858. To give you some idea of how historical and unique this place is: parts of the mansion was constructed from a now-extinct form of pine tree.

Sarabeth's has a similarly friendly, neighbourhood vibe like the inn itself. The owner, David Case, has tried his best to make it into a place where visitors and locals alike can share in a dining-room style atmosphere.

Sarabeth's is not about exclusivity, all meals are under twenty dollars, so there's something here for any budget. For other lunch and dinner options, it is only a short walk to Duval Street where you will find some of the best seafood restaurants in Key West.

Inn Features and Amenities

The inn provides everything you'd expect from a Key West hotel, including a swimming pool, but it has much more of a home-style feel than some of the larger hotels. All rooms have cable TV, air conditioning and hair dryers, some rooms also have a kitchen.

The one feature that is missing from the Mango Tree Inn is free Internet access, although this is fitting considering the back-to-basics feel of the place. It means you won’t constantly be resisting the temptation to jump online and find out what's going on back home, you can simply unplug and simplify your life.

One other noteworthy feature of the inn is that it's an adults only accommodation center. This makes it ideal for older couples who want to relax by the pool and enjoy some pleasant conversation without having to worry about kids screaming and splashing around nearby.

The inn also has two other features that none of the local hotels can boast: a parrot named Jade and a cockatoo called Leilani. This gives you an idea of the community atmosphere here. The owners live on-site and try to make your stay an authentic experience by providing the same hospitality to their paying guests as they do to friends.
