Our Favorite Key Largo Restaurants

Here is our list of our favorite Key Largo restaurants. To enhance your Key Largo dining pleasure we have added a few comments about menu choices, ambiance, and prices for restaurants we frequent most often.

Ballyhoo's—MM 97.8—852-0822

Housed in an old roadside building its not usually crowded for lunch. They have a wide variety of offerings. Plan on spending about $20 for a couple to have lunch here. Good Seafood and a nice friendly staff.

Bayside Grill—MM 99.8—451-3380

According to friends who have patronized this establisment a number of times. The bay view is spectacular, but the number of menu selections is limited and service has been spotty.

Big Chill—MM 104.0—453-9066

You'll have a nice view of Blackwater Sound on the bayside from the deck or through the large dining room windows. This eatery only opened recently. Awesome homemade rolls with entrees. Food has mostly been average and service has been spotty on occasion.

Bogie's Café/Holiday Inn—MM 100.0—451-2121

The Greek salad or the Caesar salad with grilled or blackened tuna are a couple of our favorite choices. You can sit inside, on porch next to the small bar, or outside. The view looks downs a commercial and residentail oceanside canal.

Calypso's Seafood Grill—MM 99.5 (1 Seagate Blvd)—451-0600

No credit cards accepted here so make sure you have enough cash to cover the bill. Take a look at the stickers on the beer cooler. Favorite dishes are the Calypso Salad with grilled tuna rare and their French Fries.

Friends who have patronized this restaurant several times think the place is tourist orientated, served too much food, and was a bit pricey.

Fish House Encore—MM 102.4—451-0650

A more refined version of the Fish House with a small piano bar, good food, nice atmosphere, and a friendly staff. Prices trend high here.

Harrietta's Restaurant—MM 95.7—852-8689

Friends who have patronized this restaurant often say they serve consistently good pub-style food, have good service, and a loud atmosphere.

Mandalay—MM 97.5—852-5450

New management and a remodel have resulted in a reputation for great food. They have outside seating only with a great view of the ocean. Check the weather before you go.

Our local friends who visit regularly say the Tiki bar has friendly bartenders and good service. The service level in the restaurant is reported to be just OK. Food is good.

Sundowners—MM 103.9—451-4502

Our friends who visit often report consistently good food on every visit and a nice view of the sunset.

Sushi Nami—MM99.5—453-9798

A favorite stop for sushi. Their house salad is piled high and the dressing is delicious. Food is well presented. Reasonable prices.

Tower of Pizza—MM 100.6—451-1461

Friends who frequent regularly report a busy restaurant with consistently good food. They usually stay open even when an approaching hurricane theatens.
