If you are a Florida resident you may obtain your marriage license in the county where you reside. There is also a three-day waiting period for Florida residents. The waiting period can be waived for couples who have documentation of completing a premarital class. The license must be used within 60 days of the effective date.

Out of state residents can obtain a marriage license at any Clerk of Courts office. There is no waiting period. The fee is $93.50. Credit cards are not accepted.

If this isn’t your first marriage, you will need to know the date of your last divorce, death or your spouse, or annulment to complete the paperwork. You will need a picture ID and possibly your divorce decree.
